I have 2 pin cushions. One my grandmother gave me when I was 8 and one my husband’s grandmother gave me about 10 years ago. I really need to add to my collection! Keeping my fingers crossed. Thank you.

I had this scheduled to post and it didn’t…so here it is now…
Do you know Jennifer? She and her Sister and Sister In-Law (I believe )are the magic behind Primitive Quilts and Projects!!! Not ME!!! So many people think this magazine is mine…They see Primitive and think that it must be mine…I am sorry but NO WAY do I have any time or energy to be putting out a magazine 4 times a year!!! Now I do have projects in them but I do not own or run this awesome magazine…so hopefully that clears it up and I don’t get anymore credit for it!
Well back to Jennifer…she also, besides running the magazine, has a shop in Williamstown WV and a pattern company… We have many of her patterns that we have kitted in our shop and we also will be doing Log Cabin Garden shown behind Jen here….as a BOM…again…look for it later in the year…when we get out stuff together… Her website to visit the shop…The Woolen Willow
I have a pattern to give away for Log Cabin Garden from Jen…now lets see what can we do for a give-away….OK…how about this…I have a confession…I have never made a “true” log cabin quilt! right??? what is wrong with me??? I have made courthouse steps and so on but not a true log cabin….How many log cabin quilts have you made? Are you a loser like me? or have you made many? After a wonderful week of Wedding (I promise to post about the wedding when we get the pictures back) it is back to work…If you are doing this summers BOW….this week you will be receiving our 6th block…How are you doing? Here is a challenge…each week just try to get them fused down…It is much easier to pick up these blocks if the prep work is done. I find the prep the tedious part…and the stitching the fun part…so try to get them at least fused for future stitching….All my blocks are done…I am working on the “setting” this is the hardest part because I have to find fabric that there is lots available. I also don’t know how many of you are going to order finishing kits….so that makes it hard too…. but it somehow always works out!

I would like to show you the next Primitive Gatherings/Moda Fabric collaboration…Floral Gatherings!
Now I know you are thinking WHAT? This is from Primitive Gatherings???? Well now let me confess…I love these colors!!! They are all historical and you know I love Civil War fabrics…now we have done a little tweaking..thats all…we darkened the shirtings to make them look aged….As a shop owner I also know what I cannot buy…like great reds and greens..Cheddar for sure….and then there are the sweet yellows and double pinks….so I’ll let the fabric do the talking here…The first four are 108″ wide backs that is why they are shown twice…Your shop owners are seeing this now…go visit them and ask them if they ordered it? Tell them to order lots cause I know you will buy it from them!!!
Then…there are the Floral Gatherings Shirtings…As a Moda designer we have to pick 40 skus for our lines…so things are consistant for the pre-cuts…but I really wanted these shirtings…they just were way too good to let go by the wayside….I really wanted to beg for these, like really hard…but instead I just rolled them up and attached a notes saying something like…We all should be “COMMITTED” if we do not do something with these…and left it with that…OK maybe I didn’t use the word committed but you get the idea…so I got a call saying I could do a happy dance because they are going to print 20 of them!!!
This was great news!!! So here are the 20…Think of the possibilities! Shirtings with pink, cheddar, green!!! Whooo hoo…it was hard for me not to control myself….I am sure you all will agree here…

This first quilt is “Penny Candy”…We all remember going to the five & dime store and getting our brown paper bag full of those little sugar snorkels! My favorite were the red coins!!! These little blocks are so easy and fun to stitch! We all here are in LOVE with tiny piecing… and well if you are like one of us this one will do it for ya….Quilt finishes at 70×90 and our kit will be $170.00 with pattern and binding. I hope you are coming to visit us this weekend! It is sadly our last show in Long Beach as it is moving to Portland next year 
I love long beach…I am going to miss it here…so if you all come and visit us and maybe they will rethink leaving CA….
Meet Sophia…I met her at a quilt show and gave her this little pack of fabric…her grandma sent me this pic….she is sewing and loving it…her grandma is so proud of her and said she talked about me and looked for me at the show this year…I wasn’t there this year, but the other crew was… This is another reason I LOVE my job…I can inspire the next generation…
Otto… visited out booth during the show… Next month he will be going to his new owner… He was so sweet and a little tired…I loved him!!!!

I received an email today…I can’t stop thinking about it…and need some advice…that is what a blog is for right? Interaction….I am in the process of switching my email messaging to Mail Chimp which will allow me to send beautiful emails with pictures and such…it is costly…about $150 per month because I have 9000 addresses on my account already -(yes I know some of you cannot sign up because I am at my limit and this is why)…and would have to enlist for 10,000+…this is a good problem right…lots of people what to know what is happening at PG….then I get this today…
