Happy Friday, everyone! Darci and I are still up in Mackinac Island, MI enjoying the last day of the 13th Annual Mackinac Island Quilting Art Seminar before heading back to WI tomorrow. I taught my final class for the week last night, so today was mostly about getting organized, packed up, and ready for the long drive home. No offense to Darci, but I can’t wait to get there! Not only is it Mother’s Day weekend, but I’m also really looking forward to sleeping in my own bed!!! You know how it goes… Nothing makes home feel better than being away for a while.
Hey, speaking of Mother’s Day, have you heard about he sweet little deal Jess put together for you while I was gone? In honor of Mother’s Day, now through Sunday, May 12th, 2024, we’re celebrating EVERYONE with a *FREE 5″ Charm Pack when you spend *$50.00 or more (not including tax or shipping) either online or in-store at Primitive Gatherings! Wasn’t that nice of Jess? As if you needed an excuse to give yet another charm pack its forever home. Whether you’re a mother or not – Happy Mother’s Day! We appreciate you. *Sorry, offer excludes gift cards, subscriptions, and Blocks of the Month.

How is it half-way through the 10th day of May already??? This month is really flying by, and the last couple weeks of the Twilight Stars Quilt Along seem to be going just as fast! It’s almost kind of sad to say that we’re only 14 short days from the end. I say, “almost” because as much as I do love these triangle blocks, I accept the fact that we eventually have to put projects to bed in order to make room for new. In other words, it’s time to put the skills you’ve learned through this project to work on the next one! The countdown of the final two weeks of Twilight Stars officially begins NOW with block numbers 67 and 74!

Two block releases remain which means so do three chances to win a charm pack for posting photos of your progress to our social media pages! All you have to do to for a chance to win is post a photo of your completed blocks for the week along with the required book, Triangle Gatherings and Primitive Gatherings Triangle Paper included in the picture. You can post it on either our Facebook or Instagram pages, or both! Just remember to also include the hashtag #TwilightStarsQAL in the photo as well. This week’s shout-out goes to Karla Taylor Herrin because she is proof, that even if you are behind schedule, you shouldn’t give up! A bit of perseverance goes a long way. Keep up the great work, Karla!!!

Last but not least on my list of things to blog about today is a little favor I need to ask of all of you. We are currently participating in the 2024 Official Community’s Choice Awards – a contest that celebrates the best businesses and organizations across the U.S. by asking their community members to nominate and vote for them in a variety of categories. I’m asking you, my Primitive Gatherings community to help us achieve the area title in the “Shopping/Arts and Crafts Store” category by taking a minute to vote for us daily through May 20th, 2024. It’s super easy and takes less than a few minutes once you’re registered to vote, which you can do so by clicking HERE!

Alright friends, that’s all I have for you today! Time to get back to enjoying my last couple hours In Mackinac Island with some sewcializing and a nice dinner. Judging by the forecast, it looks like the weekend is shaping up nicely back home weather wise, so I’m looking forward to that. Temps in the upper 60’s and 70’s are predicted, with sunny skies and only a slight chance for rain. Ill take it! Our area has really “greened-up” fast in the last couple weeks, so I can’t wait to see how it looks after being away for a minute. I hope you have a chance to get outside and enjoy the sunshine like I plan to for the next couple of days. I feel like some outdoor stitching might be in order! How about you? Doing anything fun?? Let me know what your plans are in the comments! Whatever you end up doing, enjoy your weekend and I will see you soon! ~Lisa
