Hey everyone! I hope your Monday is treating you well. It’s a quiet day here at Primitive Gatherings, which is nice after a couple of back-to-back crazy weeks of nonstop go-go-go. I spent my morning catching up on about 50 different things, including putting a dent in my antique re-make for the Red, White, & Blue Retreat coming up later this June. As I mentioned in a previous recent post, I’m working on an alternative to the main project for the retreat that is based on one of the 800 antique quilts in my personal collection. I found one last year that I’ve wanted to reproduce since I got it and feel like now is the perfect time, so here goes! This beauty of a quilt is from the early 1900’s and done in alternating 4″ red, white, and blue broken dish style blocks. Check it out!

I don’t know about you but I’ll sure be glad to see summer officially arrives. As much as I love the winter season, it seemed exceptionally long this year so it will be nice to see consistent sunshine and nice weather for a change. Another welcomed change will be the arrival of our long anticipated website. Now I know I’ve been saying it’s coming for a while now, and trust me – nobody will be more excited to see it arrive than my staff and I… but it’s only a matter of a few short weeks and we expect to finally have it launched. That being said, I want to remind everyone who might have a PDF download sitting in their account to be sure to download it and save it somewhere safe in the next 30 days because YOUR DOWNLOADS WILL NOT TRANSFER TO THE NEW SITE AND WILL NOT BE SAVED! Our system is changing and those files will no longer be available, so don’t wait! If you miss the deadline to download you will not be reimbursed for lost files.
