I hope you are all doing well this morning…unlike Nick who has pneumonia…so I decided to hang out with him yesterday and not work after returning from Normal/Bloomington IL…home of Illinois State University…I had such a wonderful time at the Hands All Around Guild…wonderful, wonderful ladies who took such good care of me and our class…They made lunch everyday instead of having to order out and waiting on us like we were queens…Their facility was beautiful and once I unpacked it all could stay up and out for the three days I was there…We had 29 and 31 students for the two classes and just delightful ladies…eager to learn the next stitch and elated with how easy they are once they are getting hands on attention…here are a few photos of the two days…again…I love that some of them did their own thing and switched up the colors…they came up with the term…some were murky and some were perky…and all are going to make wonderful tablemats….
Also while in IL…Linda & Jenny brought me to their famous quilt shop…The Treadle…it was definitely an experience…I was pleased to see five of my fabric lines…and Vicky the owner says they do very well for her…There is definitely 3 times more fabric in her store than mine…and she has quite the unique way of displaying it… but It all works and I found a few treasures!!! So if you are in the area…it is a MUST stop for any and all quilters…
