Hey, everyone! If you’re coming to the end of the two-year PG Wool Box project, ‘Fresh Cut Garden and wondering what to do next, great news – your wait is over! Finishing kits are up on the website and available to PRE-order NOW by clicking the buttons below!

The Fresh Cut Garden’ Finishing Kit is offered in two ways:

PATTERN ONLY: If you have your own fabric and do not need to purchase any additional fabric for the finishing, you will only need the stand alone pattern which is available to pre-order for $35.00. You will also receive full layout sheets for all the borders to help complete your quilt. PLEASE NOTE: Threads are NOT included.

KIT AND PATTERN: If you do NOT have your own fabric for finishing and need to purchase it from us, you will need both the stand alone pattern and the Finishing Kit, which are available to pre-order for $160.00. You will also receive full layout sheets for all the borders to help complete your quilt. PLEASE NOTE: This kit includes the wool appliqué ONLY. It does not include the background fabric or threads. You should have enough background left over from your original four yards to complete the borders.

PLEASE ALSO NOTE: Finishing Kits/patterns are pre-order items! You will be charged $5.00 – $10.00 immediately. The remaining balance will tentatively be charged January 17th, 2025.

Woo hoo – we did it! Doesn’t it feel great!? There’s nothing quite like finishing a long-term project like this one. There’s something about finally seeing daylight after tunneling through a mountain of wool, threads, and questionable life choices after tackling an intricate quilt like this one. It’s a little like crossing the finish line of a marathon, except you didn’t have to run, and instead of a medal, you get the smug satisfaction of saying, “Yes, I did that.” Cheers to finally being done — now you can start something new and repeat the cycle all over again (did someone say Unity Quilt?)!

Alright gang, time for me to pack up and get out of here! The wind and snow has picked up to the point where it sounds like someone is outside whipping a giant bag of rice at the side of the building while they howl like a wolf. 😮 Our area is currently under what the National Weather Service refers to as a “Snow Squall Warning,” which is a fast moving, intense heavy snow storm, with super strong winds and whiteout conditions. In other words, my drive home is going to be interesting! No worries though. Wisconsinites are tough and we know how to drive in some pretty ugly weather! I’m out for now but I will see you all tomorrow LIVE at 1:00 p.m. on my YouTube channel, STITCH with Lisa Bongean! Click the big STITCH button below to watch… Have a great night!!! ~Lisa
