Hey everyone! Are you ready to put your machine appliqué skills to the test? The STITCH Brothers and BERNINA Barb invite you to unearth your prehistoric creative brain and sign up now for one (or both!) of two cool classes coming up at The Gathering!
Instructor Katrina Sellhausen will be at The Gathering on both August 20th, and September 17th, 2024. Join us at The Gathering and learn how to sharpen your machine appliqué skills from one of the best! Katrina will share her essential knowledge of machine appliqué art, while creating fun and adorable pillows that will delight any dinosaur lover. She will also show you her tried and true machine appliqué methods, along with some new techniques that she has mastered along the way!
In case you’re wondering, machine appliqué is a creative technique that allows you to easily produce visually stunning designs by sewing fabric shapes onto a solid piece of fabric. It’s a type of ornamental method that’s often used to create images or patterns on quilts, clothing, or household linens. Katrina will guide you step-by-step through the projects, helping you learn the fundamentals of machine appliqué during her hands-on classes. She’ll also show you how to prepare designs and master stitching techniques that will make your creations stand out. Plus, by the end of the class, you’ll leave with a super cute dinosaur pillow that showcases your newfound skills and creativity! Classes are $50.00 + a $20.00 project kit per student, per class (fabrics will vary from what is shown in the photos).
Aren’t these pillows cool!? I just love thinking of all the ways I could really get creative with these. In fact, I could totally see myself doing a whole series for my grand babies… Want to make some of your own? You can sign up for one or both of these classes by calling The Gathering at 920-778-8031, or online by clicking the buttons below! You can also email us at thegathering@primitivegatherings.us for more information.
It’s getting late, so that’s all she wrote for today!!!! I want to try and get a bike ride in before sunset if I can. It was a hot and humid afternoon with highs in the 90’s – pretty toasty in our book here in WI. Now that the sun is starting to go down it should be good riding temps in another hour or so – I hope (it’s still 88). If not, a bit of suffering may ensue… No pain, no gain, right? Wish me luck!
I’ll be back again tomorrow on YouTube for STITCH with Lisa Bongean at 1:00 p.m. CST! Just a heads up, there will NOT be a CommentSold tomorrow to give the Kitting and Shipping Departments a chance to get caught up. Special thanks goes out to them for working so hard to fill orders and keep things moving along in this crazy hustle and bustle. We couldn’t do it without them!!! Take care everyone. I’ll see you tomorrow! ~Lisa
